HSS Turkey Trot

The seniors section played their first Turkey Trot of the year on Tuesday, 44 of them took part in a 13 hole Stableford. Terry Rowley had a sublime round of 33pts to win division 1.

Who had a pair of these?

I'm sure the shoes below will make a lot of you smile. It's been a long time since golf shoes looked like the first image and it's safe to say that comfort, style and traction have all come a long way since then - even if some of us think the overlapping tongues looked great!

Old style shoes

It wasn't just the daring uppers and striking tongue that defined golf shoes from yesteryear; flip the shoes upside down and the hard leather outsole featured single metal spikes that resembled weapons more so than traction pods.
